Systems of Control

Set amongst the sweet lanolin infused surrounds of the old Rosemount shed, Speak Percussion activated the site through a participatory percussion event.

Taking shearing and the unique and weathered properties of the shed as both the site and sound for the work, this performance piece used vibrations, attacks and repetitive percussive movements to conjure a sound harking from site-specific practices of percussionists and sheep shearers.
